Liv Lange Rohrer was born in Lucerne, Switzerland. As a daughter of a double bassist at the Zurich Opera House and a pianist at the Music Academy of Lucerne, she received her first violin lessons at the age of five and soon discovered her passion and talent for singing and acting. After her Primary teacher’s diploma in 2004, she studied at the Music Academy Lucerne with Prof. Liliane Zürcher where she received her Bachelor’s degree in 2008. From 2008 till 2011 the lyric soprano Liv Lange Rohrer has worked with vocal coach Mariëtte Witteveen in Amsterdam, Holland. She has also visited different masterclasses in Switzerland, Holland, Thailand and in London.
From July 2011 until July 2014 Liv Lange Rohrer has lived with her husband in Bangkok, Thailand. Besides studying at the famous Mahidol Music College Bangkok with Dr.Nicolas Provenzale, where she finished her Master's degree in June 2014 with distinction, she is now working with Prof. Raymond Connell in London. In July 2014 she relocated to her hometown Lucerne in the heart of Switzerland.
Liv Lange Rohrer is performing in many productions in Europe as well as in Bangkok with professional pianists, conductors and orchestras (Ensemble Corund, Baroque Ensemble La Scintilla, Bangkok Symphony Orchestra, Capriccio Basel, Collegium Musicum Lucerne and many more). With her warm, lyrical and clear voice, her exceptional musicality and her passionate acting Liv Lange Rohrer is able to enchant the audience. Liv Lange Rohrer loves also the lied interpretation. Songs of Schubert, Schumann, Mahler, Fauré, Debussy, Wolf and many other composers, have been sung by her in Switzerland, in Holland and also in Bangkok. The listeners were always inspired.
